After a wonderful weekend of canoeing, walks in the woods, and throwing rocks off cliffs, it was time to say goodbye. I swear, Kevin would have made an amazing mule packer back in the early days of the forest service, what with his propensity towards wool clothing, cross-cut saws, and his ability to arrange many things into a limited space. We managed to get all my possession into the little Green Bean with space left to see out the windows. The weather was appropriately sad and rainy as we made our farewells. And so I was off on the first leg of my journey: to Yelm, WA!
